Gravestorm

EnchantmentBlack manaBlack manaBlack mana

A draw engine whose throttle sits in enemy hands. Every one of your upkeeps it forces an opponent to choose: feed your card advantage, or burn a card from their bin to deny it. The cleverness, and the limitation, is that the decision lives across the table, never with you. Against an opponent leaning on a stocked graveyard (anything built around threshold or flashback), exiling a card to stop your draw is genuine attrition; against an opponent with nothing in the bin worth keeping, they shrug off a dead card and you draw nothing. The enchantment's value is set entirely by the texture of the board on the other side, which is why it has always read as a designer's curiosity rather than a constructed staple. The triple-black cost is the other tell: this is mono-black-and-proud color identity for an effect that, in a vacuum, looks too situational to demand it. What lingers is the design idea itself, an enchantment that profits from an opponent's reluctance to thin their own graveyard, a tax on the exact resource the surrounding cards of its era were teaching players to hoard. The engine runs on enemy hesitation, which is both its sharpest stroke and the reason it never found a home.
