Gravedigger with the tribal tax removed. The old version returned any creature card from the graveyard to hand and did nothing else structurally interesting; here the changeling clause quietly rewrites who the recursion serves. Because it counts as every creature type, it slots into any tribal shell as a body that both satisfies a lord's count and buys back a fallen member, and every tribe gets the same graveyard-to-hand engine at the same rate without a dedicated card written for it. That is the real work of the design: one black recursion piece that a Goblin deck, an Elf deck, and a Sliver deck can all run without asking whether the printed creature type matches. The Raise Dead effect is upside on a 2/2 that will trade or chump regardless, so leaning on the entry trigger costs the deck nothing; it returns whatever died last turn, then blocks. It does the unglamorous job of turning a graveyard into a second draw and keeping a tribal curve from running out of gas, the kind of role-player built quietly into lists that never mention it by name.
