Goliath, Mass Manipulator
A green two-drop with Reach is a modest premise, but the whole card lives in one decision the moment he resolves: fire the power-up the same turn he lands, or wait. Cast him and activate immediately, and the cost reduction trims the activation to , resolving two counters and turning Goliath into a 4/4 before the draw clause checks. He now counts himself, so even on an otherwise empty board the ability finds a card. Hold the ability instead, and the full
pays out against a developed board: a deck stuffed with power-4 bodies converts that single draw into a genuine refill, with Goliath's own 4/4 frame counting on top. Because the power-up fires only once, the entire card is that fork between early tempo and a late payoff you have earned by building a board worth counting. The Reach is what makes patience free: a 2/2 that trades with fliers can stall for the several turns it takes to develop, so delaying the activation costs nothing defensively. The pump also quietly bootstraps its own reward, since the two counters push Goliath into the very power bracket his draw rewards. His ceiling scales with how many heavy hitters surround him; his floor is a serviceable blocker that grows into a threat when the timing rewards it.
