The mode that gets remembered is the first one: a two-mana sweeper that wipes a board of tokens and one-toughness creatures at instant speed, a window that most board wipes never give you. But the value lives in the choice itself, three answers that almost never overlap stapled to a single slot. The -1/-1 line kills go-wide aggression and small synergy pieces; the regenerate line protects your own board through a sweeper or a block-heavy combat step; the enchantment destruction patches a category black handles poorly on its own, with green covering for it (green has always been the color most willing to break a Pacifism or a Propaganda). You only ever get one mode, so the card forces a read of the table before it leaves your hand. That is the trade the whole Charm cycle makes: a single-mode spell would be priced lower and played more narrowly, but bundling three keeps the card live across matchups that would otherwise leave a dedicated answer dead in hand. What separates this one from its cyclemates is how cleanly two of its modes split offense and defense across the same combat math: the sweeper and the regenerate are mirror images, one shrinking the opponent's board, the other saving yours, while the third mode reaches outside creatures entirely. Two mana buys the right answer at the right moment; the price is committing to one answer and reading the board well enough to pick it.
