Godtoucher
A green body that pays white mana to do white work, and the activation is the hinge the whole card swings on. This is a Naya creature in everything but color identity: the shield only fires when you spend white alongside the tap, so the card asks you to already be in green and white at once before it does anything. What it protects is narrow on purpose. The prevention only wraps a creature whose power has crossed into fatty territory, fencing the effect off from defending your one-drops and pointing it squarely at the kind of oversized bodies the green-white-red shard was built to slam onto the board. That power floor is the rate's whole governor: a cheap, repeatable shield would warp combat if it could blank any creature, so the design restricts it to the exact threats big enough to want protecting in the first place. Because the prevention is targeted and instant-speed, it reads as a combat trick you can hold up turn after turn, letting an oversized attacker swing into a much larger blocker and walk away clean, or stonewall an incoming swing from a 6/6. The 2/2 Elf Cleric stat line is incidental; you are not casting this for its body. You are casting a defensive lever that only the most top-heavy decks can pull, and only when they have already committed to the kind of board the threshold rewards.
