What the keyword now called menace looked like before the keyword existed. This is an anthem in the structure of Crusade or Glorious Anthem, except it grants an evasion clause rather than a stat bump, and the clause it grants is the same combat-math tax that menace later codified into a single word: every blocker your opponent commits has to be paired with a second, so a board of small attackers suddenly costs twice the defensive bodies to hold off. The design lives entirely in the multiplier. On a single creature the effect is marginal, but spread across a wide red board it forces an opponent into one-for-many trades or chip damage they cannot stop, and that pressure scales with every creature you add. The static, team-wide grant is the line between this and a combat trick: it is not a window you exploit once, it is a permanent change to how every block-math problem on your side resolves while the enchantment sits on the battlefield. Reprintings and later evasion anthems have given red and other colors cleaner versions of the same idea, but this is the early articulation of the principle that a horde gets through not by being unblockable, but by making blocking expensive.
