Goblin Assault Team
The 4/1 with haste is a shape red has leaned on since the earliest sets: all the damage, none of the durability, priced so it swings once and then dies to almost anything. What this one does with the dying part is the twist. Most glass-cannon Goblins ask you to accept the trade as a wash; this one turns the death into a transfer, banking the body's four power down to a single permanent counter that survives on a creature you actually keep. The rate rearranges the math of trading it away. Chump-block it and you upgrade one of your creatures for free; race it and you eat four; kill it in combat and it still pays out, the death trigger resolving after the body has left to drop a counter on something you kept. The counter targets on death, so it works with sacrifice effects just as cleanly as with combat, letting you cash the fragile body in on your own terms rather than the opponent's. It is a modest engine wearing an aggressive stat line: a beater that refuses to be pure tempo loss, converting the aggression into a permanent board investment the moment it falls.
