InstantGreen mana

Redundancy insurance, priced at a single green mana. A basic-land tutor is the sort of effect that stops being useful the moment you have enough lands, and a modal design solves exactly that: the same card that fixes a stumbling draw in the opening turns can instead hand a creature a +2/+2 boost when your last basic in the deck would only be a dead topdeck. The two modes rarely both matter in one game, which is the point. Neither is best-in-class. As a tutor it is slower and narrower than dedicated fixing, since it pulls only basics; as a pump it carries no protection and no evasion, just raw stats. What you get in exchange is the guarantee that the card is never fully dead, and for a one-mana green instant that guarantee is the entire pitch. Instant speed does quiet work on both halves: holding it up defers the choice until you know whether the turn wants a land or a fight, and casting the tutor mode in combat can bluff a trick while it actually smooths your next draw. This is the plain, honest utility green has leaned on since flexibility became a design lever: a card that keeps low curves consistent by refusing to rot in hand, whichever way the game breaks.
