Glimmerburst

Instant3 generic manaBlue mana

Inspiration set the rate for instant-speed draw-two: four mana, no rider, the tax you pay to hold up your card advantage until the end of the opponent's turn rather than tapping out on your own. This keeps that price exactly and spends the difference on a token. The 1/1 is the whole margin, and it does more than pad the board. Because it's an enchantment, it quietly feeds constellation triggers, enchantments-matter payoffs, and any deck counting permanent types; it's a body that can chump, block, or carry an aura; and it turns a pure card-advantage spell into something that also touches the board the moment it resolves. That last point is the real design lever. Raw draw does nothing your opponent can see, which is the failure mode that keeps unconditional card draw out of tempo-sensitive decks: it buys you nothing against a clock. Attaching a creature means the spell is never a total blank against aggression, and instant speed compounds this, letting you flash in a surprise blocker while refilling on the crackback swing. The tradeoff stays honest. You pay full instant-speed draw-two rate and get the token on top, so it will never be the leanest card-advantage engine on cost alone. It's built for the deck that wants both halves at once, where the little Glimmer earns its keep instead of apologizing for the price.
