Glass of the Guildpact
A payoff in search of a critical mass. The condition it rewards (multicolored creatures) is one the game has never made easy to hit consistently: gold cards cost more to cast, ask for two colors of mana at once, and don't naturally cluster in a single deck the way a shared creature type does. So the anthem here is priced cheap because the deckbuilding tax lives elsewhere, in the manabase and the card pool you're forced to draw from. Where a tribal lord touches a keyword and pulls a dozen creatures into its net, this one touches a construction principle, which means the build has to be assembled around it deliberately rather than discovered inside an existing shell. That distinction defines the whole design tension: the static bonus is trivial once it turns on, but turning it on is the entire project. Its lineage is the small class of enchantment-and-artifact anthems that reward a chromatic identity rather than a creature type, a niche narrow enough that the effect has stayed rare instead of becoming a staple. The reward for solving the puzzle is real, but the puzzle is the point.
