Glacial Wall
A defensive wall built to the extreme end of the curve: seven toughness for three mana, nothing else attached. That number is the entire point. In an era when most aggressive creatures topped out at three or four power, a 0/7 was not a speed bump but a brick, an early-game commitment that simply ended the ground war for several turns while the blue player set up whatever it actually wanted to do. Walls in this period were intentionally one-dimensional: Defender keeps the card from ever turning the corner, so the toughness can be pushed without the body becoming a clock. The design tension is all in that asymmetry, a creature that costs you tempo on defense to buy time you spend somewhere else. It belongs to a long line of blue speed bumps that exist to keep aggression honest until the control plan comes online, asking nothing of the deck beyond the three mana and the willingness to spend a card on a stall. There is no upside hidden in the text, no late-game pivot, no activated ability waiting to matter; the seven toughness is the whole argument, and for the formats and decks that wanted a wall this large, that was argument enough.
