Glacial Crevasses

Enchantment2 generic manaRed mana

Fog stapled to a land-sacrifice cost, built to reward the one deck willing to pay it. The mechanical logic comes straight from its set's snow ecosystem: snow Mountains were a deliberately scarce resource, and this enchantment asks you to spend that resource for a turn of total combat safety. Unlike a single-use Fog, this is a repeatable defensive engine, but each activation eats a snow Mountain, so it converts your mana base into a finite stack of prevention spells. A red deck running it is consciously trading long-game development (those lands are gone for good) for the ability to ignore the attack step again and again, an unusual posture for the most aggressive color. The prevention is total and untargeted: it stops all combat damage that turn, yours included, so it functions purely as a survival valve rather than a tempo play. That places it at a strange crossroads, marrying red's identity to a control-defense plan red almost never gets to run. An answer card printed in the color least equipped to lean on answer cards, gated behind a permanent cost most red decks would refuse to pay, it remains a footnote of Ice Age's snow experiment more than a card anyone reached for.
