Gigastorm Titan

Creature — Elemental4 generic manaBlue mana

The whole design lives in the discount clause: pay full price and this is a 4/4 for five, a rate no one runs; cast anything else first and it drops to a 4/4 for two, one of them blue. That conditional cost sits alongside affinity and the storm impulse as another way to price a card by the turn around it rather than the card itself, rewarding a hand that has already put something on the stack before this one goes down. What makes the reduction elegant is how loose it is: because it is a static discount on the spell, not a payoff that checks conditions, it does not care what the earlier spell was, only that you cast one, so a cantrip, a removal spell, or a one-drop all unlock the same rebate. The result is a creature that punishes the empty turn and prices itself for the busy one. It nudges you toward a low-curve, spell-dense build where casting two things a turn is the default rather than the ceiling, and it turns what would be a filler body into a tempo swing precisely when your hand is already firing on multiple cylinders. The 4/4 is deliberately unremarkable; the interesting part is that you almost never pay what the mana cost says you will.
