The recursion is the entire proposition, and its price tells you exactly where this body belongs. A 4/4 for five sits below the curve on stats alone, but the graveyard ability lets the same creature crawl back turn after turn as long as you keep feeding it cards. Discarding two per return is punishing in any deck trying to build a board the honest way; in a shell that wants a stocked graveyard, runs a sacrifice outlet starved for bodies, or treats discard as fuel rather than loss, that same clause reads as a resource converter. The reanimated copy enters tapped, so each return is a commitment declared a turn early rather than a surprise blocker, which rules out using it as a recursive free wall. What you get for the trouble is a Zombie that refuses to stay buried and turns a clogged hand into repeated material: throw it under a creature, sacrifice it, mill or discard your way to two more cards, bring it back. This is a loop engine, not a racer, and the two-card discard is the meter that keeps every return costing something real.
