Creature — SpiritGreen mana

The trigger fires on the cast, not the resolution, and that is the whole timing story. Whenever you put an enchantment on the stack, a +1/+1 counter lands on target creature before the enchantment itself does anything: cast an Aura on a blocker in combat and your attacker grows before damage, and the counter stays down even if the enchantment gets countered or fizzles, because the trigger already happened. Green's usual growth engines ask the board to develop across several turns; this collapses that curve into whatever your enchantment count is in a single turn, and it counts the whole category (Auras, sagas, enchantment creatures) rather than a narrow slice. Green has always shared the enchantment-synergy space with white in the classic Enchantress builds, so keying a counter engine off casting enchantments is a natural fit for the color's growth identity rather than a stretch; what makes this particular payoff pointed is that it rewards the act of casting rather than the permanent sticking around. The fragile 1/1 frame is the cost of a one-drop that snowballs this fast: it dies to everything, and the plan leans on keeping the Spirit alive long enough for the enchantment spells to stack up. That vulnerability is the balancing lever, the reason a card this explosive can cost a single green mana.
