Gardens of Tranquil Repose

Plane — Necros

Planechase cards live or die on the tension between a passive plane ability and the gamble of the chaos symbol, and this one turns a graveyard into a doomsday counter. Every creature that dies anywhere gets exiled here rather than resting where its controller can recur it, and each exile quietly consoles the loser with a scry. That grave-hate does work, but it is also fuel: the pile of exiled creatures is the count you are feeding, so the longer the plane sits in the deck's active slot, the larger the eventual payoff grows. When chaos ensues, the whole tally converts into a swarm of menace-carrying Dalek tokens, an army that scales with how much death the table has produced under the plane's watch. The design reframes the graveyard as a shared clock the whole table is winding without meaning to: aristocrats decks, sacrifice loops, and grindy board stalls all feed the same engine, and none of them get their creatures back. It is a rare Planechase card where the "downside" ability (removing recursion) and the chaos reward are the same mechanic pointed in two directions, so the correct read of the board depends entirely on how close the deck feels to rolling the chaos symbol.
