Gallant Cavalry
A single spot-removal spell only ever trades down against this: kill one 2/2 vigilance Knight and the other is still standing, still able to attack without dropping its guard. That two-for-one shape is the whole appeal, and it is a deliberately unflashy one. The token shares the printed creature's power, toughness, and vigilance, which is the quiet point: two vigilant attackers that can also block means the pair never has to choose between pressure and defense. White midrange wants a body like this across the curve, a topdeck that lands as board presence rather than a single fragile threat that folds to one answer. Knight typing gives both halves a relevant creature type, and the symmetric vigilance lets the pair plug into go-wide payoffs without any setup. Nothing baroque under the hood: efficient, redundant, built to fill a slot and blunt one-for-one interaction. The obvious hole is that a sweeper still catches both halves at once, but that is the trade you accept for splitting your mana across two bodies instead of one. Bread-and-butter white creature design, and the restraint is exactly the brief.
