Two mana for a blue artifact that replaces itself on entry and later cashes in for two more cards is the kind of value floor blue has been printing in various shells for years, but bundling it onto an artifact changes which decks want it. The enter trigger means it is never a dead draw: it swaps itself for a fresh card the moment it lands, so playing it early costs no tempo you would not have spent anyway. The sacrifice mode then converts a permanent that has done its job into a two-card refuel, useful at the point in a game when you have flooded on lands or want to reload after a stall. The artifact type is load-bearing in both directions: it feeds anything that counts artifacts entering, and its own sacrifice clause is a built-in outlet for decks that want artifacts leaving the battlefield on demand. The cost of the second mode keeps it honest, though; at the draw-two is a genuine investment rather than a free reload, so it works as a late-game mana sink instead of a cantrip you fire off the instant it lands. This is card advantage delivered as a permanent rather than as a spell, which shifts the appeal away from decks chasing raw velocity and toward decks that want a noncreature artifact sitting on the battlefield to enable other triggers before it turns into cards.
