Furnace Strider
The oil counters here do double duty: they mark the beast as a citizen of the Phyrexian invasion, and they cap the haste engine at two firings out of the box, spent one at a time. That is the trade in full: a 4/5 body that can hold a line while it exists, plus a small, exhaustible reservoir of tempo. Because the ability targets any creature you control, the beast can spend a charge to swing for four with itself and bank the second for a later attacker, or hand both to fresh threats and stay home on defense. Since the counters live on this creature and leave it only one at a time, the ability is self-limiting in a way that haste-granters tied to a static ability or a repeatable tap never are; once the oil runs dry, the beast is just a body. That places it closer to a payoff than an enabler, comfortable on a board already flooding with beaters that want to attack the moment they resolve. It is a workmanlike marriage of oil-counter flavor to a familiar red-aggro function, and the ceiling is fixed by the counter math: two hasty attacks off its own counters, then nothing until more oil arrives.
