Fungal Sprouting
The token count keys off your single biggest creature, which is a stranger payoff than the usual go-wide spell. Most token generators scale with lands, creatures, or a flat number; this one rewards stacking power onto a single body, then converting that power into a swarm without sacrificing the original. The tension it builds is between vertical and horizontal threats: pump one creature to make the spell huge, and you still have that creature plus an army of Saprolings afterward, which means a single hexproof or trampling fatty doubles as the engine. The wrinkle is that it reads the greatest power at resolution, so anything you do before casting (an Overrun-style anthem, a +X/+X aura, even a temporary combat pump used pre-second-main) feeds the count. It pairs naturally with the green-black Saproling theme that recurs across sets, where the tokens themselves become sacrifice fodder or anthem fuel rather than just bodies. The four-mana sorcery cost keeps it honest as a midgame play rather than a turn-one explosion, and the floor is real: with no meaningful creature out, it does nothing. That floor is the whole bargain. It is a payoff card masquerading as a token-maker, asking you to build a board first and reap second.
