Fungal Bloom
The Fungus tribe of Fallen Empires ran on a timer the rules forced you to wait out: Thallid and its kin grew a spore counter on each upkeep and converted three of them into a Saproling, slowly, with no way to hurry the clock. This enchantment exists to break that timer. Every two green mana buys a counter on demand, so the spore clock stops being a passive accumulation and becomes a mana sink you can dump into to flood the board on your schedule rather than the upkeep's. The design tension is that the original tribe was deliberately slow, a tax on patience; welding it to a repeatable counter-adder converts the same cards into an engine that pays out as fast as you can fund it. Its strictness keeps it honest: it targets only a Fungus, nothing else, which means it is not a generic counter machine but a piece bolted to one of the most self-contained tribes Wizards ever printed. Outside that shell it does nothing at all, a hyper-specific build-around from the era before tribal support became a deliberate, recurring design language.
