Freyalise Supplicant
A green creature whose entire function is to feed on red and white bodies, which is the part worth pausing on. Color-pie sacrifice has almost always trended toward black: green sacrifices for ramp, black sacrifices for value and reach. Here is a green Cleric asking specifically to consume red and white creatures, an artifact of Ice Age's flavor-driven design before the modern color pie was fully codified. Green sits adjacent to both red and white on the wheel, so the allied logic is at least coherent, but the effect itself (direct damage as a reach outlet) reads as a red ability bolted onto a green frame. The ability is deliberately throttled: the damage is half the sacrificed creature's power rounded down, so a sacrificed 1/1 does nothing, a 2-power creature pings for one, and you need genuinely large bodies before the math turns lethal. That rounding clause is the balance discipline. It makes the card a reach outlet that punishes you for trying to use it cheaply, rewarding only a board built around a few high-power red or white creatures you are willing to spend. As a piece of design it is a curiosity more than an engine: a sacrifice outlet that demands the sacrificed creature be both off-color relative to the green body and oversized, two constraints that rarely line up, which is exactly why it never anchored an archetype.
