A vanilla 2/2 for two whose entire reason to exist is one word on the type line. The body promises nothing beyond what it shows, and that is the point: in the Rebel toolbox, small creatures aren't meant to be cast on rate, they're meant to be the cheap rungs a recruiter ladder hauls up for free. Ramosian Sergeant and the rest of the searching chain treat any creature with the Rebel subtype as a fetchable cog, so a two-mana body you'd never want to draw becomes a target your engine can tutor onto the battlefield without paying for it. Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero turns that whole package into a graveyard-recurring search loop, and the package only works if the bottom rungs are deliberately cheap and deliberately boring. Read alone, this is filler with a tribe stapled on. Read inside the recruiter architecture, it's an enabler statted and priced precisely to be the thing your search effects find rather than the thing you hard-cast. It is one of the clearer examples of a tribal design where the small bodies exist to be tutored, not played: the rate is intentionally unexciting so the search effects have something low to grab onto.
