Frazzle
The pitch is a counterspell color-hosed against itself: it answers everything except blue, which means a blue deck packing it has knowingly bought a counter that goes dead the moment the opponent casts in blue. That is a real cost, not a perk; the restriction does not protect your own spells (you were never going to counter those) so much as it carves out a permanent blind spot exactly where another blue deck lives. It belongs to a lineage of color-hosed counters that trade universal coverage for a sharper edge against the colors they can touch, but most of those bought the restriction back with a discount or a rider. Here the body of the deal runs the wrong way: four mana to counter nonblue is more than an unconditional counter asks, so you pay a premium for a narrower answer. That leaves it stranded between roles. It is too costly and too conditional to displace a generalist counter in a control shell, and too reliant on the opponent staying out of blue to anchor a maindeck plan. What it is honestly good at is the blue-deck-versus-the-field matchup, where the protected color is irrelevant because the opponent is not casting any. Reach for it to plug that specific seam, not to build around.
