Folk Medicine

Instant2 generic manaGreen mana

Lifegain that scales with board presence is a familiar green idea, but the flashback here is the wrinkle that justifies the card. Judgment ran a deliberate cross-color flashback theme, and this is the green-into-white member: cast it for green mana once, then buy it back later for a white-mana payment. That second casting is the design's whole reason for existing. A board-wide lifegain instant is a marginal effect on its own, but a board-wide lifegain instant you can fire twice off a developed creature count, once early to stabilize and again after you have rebuilt, turns a single card into two stabilization windows across a long game. The white flashback cost also quietly signals the kind of deck it was built for: a green-white creature board that wants to outlast aggression rather than race it, where the second instance of lifegain matters precisely because the creatures that pay for it are still on the table. The friction is that both halves want a wide board to do anything, so the card rewards the deck that least needs the help and does little for the empty board that needs it most. It is a clean piece of the flashback puzzle Judgment set out to build, more interesting for what its two-color casting structure represents than for the raw life it returns.
