Flora Colossus

The land-count beater is one of green's oldest reflexes, but here it comes wearing armor most of those bodies never got. A creature whose power and toughness track your land count grows exactly as fast as your ramp does, which means the whole game plan is already sitting in the deck: the fixing and acceleration that green wants to play anyway also feed the finisher. What sets this Treefolk apart from the long line of land-scaling bodies is that it is hard to answer once it lands. A big-but-vulnerable creature invites the trade: point removal, a bounce spell, a targeted sacrifice effect, and the investment evaporates. Hexproof pulls it out of that exchange entirely, forcing opponents onto board wipes, edicts, or blockers, the answers that cost the most or line up the worst against a mono-green ramp shell. The tension the design resolves is that variable power/toughness creatures tend to be glass cannons: they scale beautifully and die to a single spell. This one keeps the scaling and removes the single-spell out, which reframes it from a race-you-must-win into a threat you must actually deal with. The cost is the seven mana it takes to get there, but green is the color most likely to have that mana early and the lands on board to make the payoff real by the time it arrives.
