First Sliver's Chosen
Slivers have always shared keywords by hive-mind: one Sliver hands the ability to every Sliver on the board, and the whole tribe scales together. This card breaks the usual shape of that gift by granting exalted, a keyword built for a strategy Slivers almost never run. Exalted rewards attacking with a single creature, while Slivers want a wide, buffed swarm crashing in together. The result is a design that quietly cross-wires two archetypes that normally exclude each other: stack enough Sliver bodies with exalted, then peel off one attacker to carry an outsized bonus alone. Because exalted counts every instance among your permanents, not just among your Slivers, each additional copy compounds the lone-attacker payoff into a genuine finisher rather than a modest pump. It is a tension card, deliberately handing the go-wide tribe a go-tall button, and asking the pilot to choose between the swarm they built and the one creature that swarm can suddenly launch. The 3/3 body is beside the point; the value is entirely in what it prints onto the rest of the hive, and in the turn you decide to spend that stored power on a single unblocked attacker.
