Creature — Giant Bard4 generic manaRed manaRed mana

Threaten effects have always run into the same math problem in multiplayer: stealing one creature for a turn buys you a single attacker aimed at a single opponent, and at that cost the trade rarely justifies itself. The wrinkle here is myriad, which turns the borrowed body into an assault against every player at once. Grab an opposing creature, untap it, hand it haste, and swing; the myriad triggers spin off tapped-and-attacking token copies pointed at each of your other opponents. You have converted a one-target theft into a board-wide swing using someone else's card. The token copies are exiled at end of combat and the original goes home at cleanup, so nothing sticks, which is the restraint that stops the effect from becoming a permanent steal. The design detail worth studying is what myriad copies: the tokens enter as exact snapshots of the borrowed creature, carrying its power, toughness, and static abilities across the pod. They will not refire an attack trigger (tokens created already attacking never trigger "whenever this attacks" clauses under the combat rules), so the payoff runs through raw stats and any static or damage-based rider the copies still hold rather than through duplicated attack triggers. The best target, then, is often less about the biggest creature on the table than about the one whose printed abilities scale cleanly when there are suddenly several of it. Take a Threaten, staple it onto a 4/4 Giant Bard body, then rebuild the whole thing for the many-opponent games where threatens usually struggle: that is the ambition on display.

Enthralling Performance — When this creature enters, gain control of target creature you don't control until end of turn. Untap it. It gains haste and myriad until end of turn. (Whenever it attacks, for each opponent other than defending player, you may create a token copy that's tapped and attacking that player or a planeswalker they control. Exile the tokens at end of combat.)
