Feral Lightning

Nine power of haste for one turn, then nothing. That trade is the whole point: the three Elemental tokens swing once, deal their damage, and exile themselves at the beginning of the next end step, before they can ever block, chump, or set up an alpha strike on a later turn. The window in between is the part worth noticing, because the tokens are yours to do anything with until that end-step trigger collects them. Sacrifice them to an outlet, throw them into a Fling, feed an aristocrat engine: the exile only takes what is still on the battlefield, so the rental ends only if you let it run out. That structure is what lets red field a burst army that would be absurdly undercosted as permanents without permanently undercosting them. The 3/1 statline carries deliberate fragility too: high power, one toughness, so the swing hurts but every token dies to almost anything a blocker can muster. The catch is the cost. Triple red atop three generic is a steep, color-intensive ask for an effect that spends itself the moment it resolves, and that price (not the damage) is what has kept the card a curiosity rather than a staple. It is a burn spell that walks across the battlefield, which means it can be blocked, fogged, or whiffed entirely against a wide defense: vulnerabilities pure burn never carries.
