Felhide Brawler

Creature — Minotaur1 generic manaBlack mana

A 2/2 for two with a drawback that evaporates the moment your tribe shows up: this is the recruitment-poster school of common-rarity tribal design, where the downside is the lever pushing you toward a creature type rather than away from it. The blocking restriction reads as a penalty, but it is really a deckbuilding prompt. The body is fine on offense and inert on defense alone, so the card nudges you to play more Minotaurs, and once you do, the second line stops mattering. That is the structural trick a lot of small-tribe commons pull: a stat line at or slightly above rate, fenced off by a condition your own creature base is supposed to satisfy. The trade is honest, because the card never pretends to be a standalone beater. It wants company, and it says so plainly. As a piece of aggressive tribal design, the question it poses to a build is whether you have the density to ignore the restriction, or whether you are running a body that will stand there unable to hold the ground it is parked on. When the Minotaurs are present, you have a clean two-drop with no real cost; when they are absent, you have a card that punishes you for under-committing to the very theme it was printed to advertise.
