Fated Intervention

Instant2 generic manaGreen manaGreen manaGreen mana

That extra green pip in the cost is buying flash on what would otherwise be a plain sorcery: two 3/3 bodies at instant speed, deployable during combat math or on an opponent's end step. The flexibility answers a recurring green problem, since most of the color's token and beef effects are stapled to sorcery speed, and green rarely gets to hold its board presence for the right window. The scry is written as a turn-dependent rider rather than a matter of when you cast: any resolution on your own turn, at whatever speed, digs two deep, while casting it on an opponent's turn trades that dig for the ambush. That is the actual asymmetry in the design. The card rewards you for holding it up without forcing the choice, and the scry quietly incentivizes finding a reason to cast on your own turn even at instant speed. The enchantment-creature type line ties the tokens to the devotion-and-constellation framework of their era, though the effect is one-way: the tokens are enchantments for the purpose of constellation-style triggers, but they carry no mana cost and so add nothing to devotion themselves. The Centaurs are incidental flavor. What holds the design up is the split between what the mana buys and what the timing costs: five mana is the price of flash, the scry is the consolation for not using it, and the six power across two bodies is the same either way.
