Fate Forgotten

Instant2 generic manaWhite mana

The split that separates white's serviceable answers from its permanent ones is exile versus destruction, and this lands on the right side at a slightly inflated price. Where Disenchant has done the job for a single white at instant speed since the dawn of the game, the surcharge here buys finality: indestructible artifacts, recursion-prone enchantments, and anything with a graveyard payoff stay gone rather than clawing their way back. That is the whole transaction, and whether the extra mana over the bargain rate is worth paying depends entirely on what you expect to be pointing it at. Instant speed is what lets the card wait: hold up the answer, let an artifact or enchantment resolve and commit to the board, then exile it in response to its activation rather than tapping out on your own turn to preempt it. Note the target is a permanent, not a spell, so an Aura has to actually attach before this can take it (and the creature it left behind survives). The design lineage is the slow drift of white's catch-all artifact-and-enchantment removal toward exile as the game's threats grew harder to permanently kill: a generic destroy clause stopped answering the cards that wanted answering, and white needed a tool that closed the loophole without stepping outside its color identity. No upside stapled on, no mode to choose: a clean exile pointed at exactly two permanent types, priced for the privilege of meaning it.
