A 2/2 whose statistics are negotiated rather than owned, built on two mechanics that both open the spell to the people sitting across from you. Assist lets another player shoulder up to of the casting cost, so this
body can hit the battlefield for as little as a single black pip from its controller while someone else covers the rest. The pump ability then discards the usual rule that only a creature's controller can grow it: any player may spend
for +1/+1, turning a plain body into a shared lever. Both halves point outward, and that is the entire premise. Assist resolves when someone else wants the spell on the board, and that someone is not restricted to an ally: an opponent can pay it too, whether angling for a deal, warping the political math, or simply gaining something from the creature existing. The open pump runs on the same logic, letting anyone feed a block, bait a trade, or inflate the thing for their own reasons. Most pump effects are private resources their controllers spend toward their own clock. This one is communal infrastructure that treats the board as a conversation, and it reads best where more than two people are talking. Pare the table down and the design still functions (assist has an eligible payer, the pump an eligible activator, since the text only ever asks for "another player" or "any player"), but the negotiation that makes it sing goes quiet.
