Falkenrath Aristocrat
A 4/1 flying haste body for four mana is a bargain that lasts exactly as long as nobody points a removal spell at it, which is where the sacrifice ability rewrites the math. Feed it a creature and it shrugs off destruction for the turn; feed it specifically a Human and it grows while doing so. That second clause is the wrinkle that defines the deck around it: in a creature base built from tokens and disposable Humans, the Aristocrat becomes a recurring threat that survives sweepers, dodges destruction-based removal at instant speed, and clocks the opponent for four in the air with no summoning sickness to wait out. The indestructible grant answers the obvious objection to a one-toughness flyer (any ping kills it) by converting your board into ammunition, and the Human bonus turns the engine into a finisher rather than just a survival tool. The design lineage runs through the family of aristocrat-style payoffs that turn dying creatures into resources, but most of those bleed value off the opponent or drain life; this one funnels everything into a single evasive body and asks you to protect it by spending the rest of your board. The tension is real: every activation costs you a creature, so the card pushes you toward a deck deep enough to keep feeding it without running dry before the four-power clock closes the game.
