Explorer's Scope
One mana of Equipment that does nothing for your board and everything for your mana base. The trick is the trigger window: equipping asks no upfront tempo, and the look-at-top-card fires the moment the creature is declared as an attacker. The land arrives during the declare attackers step, so you get the drop before combat damage is even on the table, and you never spent a card to find it. That makes it a ramp engine disguised as combat gear. The land enters tapped, which prices the effect honestly: this is acceleration for next turn, not this one, and it only ever advances your land count, never your hand. Because the trigger keys off declaring the attack rather than connecting, a creature wearing it banks a land whenever your top card is one, even into a wall it will never get through, smoothing a deck that wants to keep curving without flooding its draws with dead lands. The structural ancestor is Oracle of Mul Daya: peek at the top, and if it is land, deploy it from the library. This compresses that idea onto a one-mana permanent that anyone can equip, trading the body and the perpetual visibility for a fraction of the cost and an attack condition. What limits the engine is its dependence on cooperation: it runs only while your top card is a land and your creature keeps swinging, so it rewards a deck thick with lands and committed to attacking, and it goes inert the moment the board stalls.
