Counter decks have always wrestled with the same fragility: your investment lives on creatures, and creatures die. This artifact answers that by turning death into storage. It arrives holding two +1/+1 counters and, crucially, harvests one back every time a counter-bearing creature of yours dies, banking the growth you spent instead of letting it evaporate on the battlefield. That inversion drives the design. A board wipe or a chump attack that would normally reset a +1/+1 strategy instead feeds the reservoir, and the sorcery-speed tap redeploys those counters onto whatever survives. The result is a piece that makes a counters deck resilient to the exact thing that punishes it hardest, converting attrition into a slow, artifact-based recursion loop rather than a loss. The sorcery restriction on the activation is the cost that keeps it fair: you cannot pump a blocker mid-combat or dodge removal at instant speed, so the counters you reclaim are strictly a between-turns rebuild, not a combat trick. What separates it from the proliferate engines and counter-manipulation artifacts it resembles is direction: most of those conjure counters from nowhere, while this one is fundamentally a redistribution engine. It moves the value you already earned back into play after the graveyard would otherwise have swallowed it.
