Eshki, Temur's Roar
Ferocity, the Tarkir sensibility that has always cared about power 4 or greater, gets a build-around engine that runs on that threshold directly rather than off a keyword tag. Three payoffs hang off a single trigger (cast a creature spell), with two of them gated behind power breakpoints: every creature grows the body, a power-4 creature refills the hand, and a power-6 creature converts the accumulated counters into a burn spell aimed at the whole table. That third tier is where the snowball reveals itself. The damage scales off the growing power, so the deck wants to keep casting fatties to keep the total climbing, and each qualifying cast feeds the next: draw a card, find another big creature, cast it, hit harder. Dressed in Temur ramp-and-draw clothing, the reward for playing top-heavy is a repeatable, hand-refilling clock rather than a single haymaker. The 2/2 body is the honest part of the bargain; nothing fires the turn it resolves, and the whole apparatus depends on landing expensive creatures across subsequent turns, which a slow draw or a well-timed removal spell punishes cleanly. What lifts it above a plain stat-stapler is the interlock: the counters that power the finisher are the same counters that determine how hard the finisher bites, so committing to size pays out in three directions at once from one repeatable trigger.
