Endless Ranks of the Dead
Halving rounded down is the mechanism every Zombie payoff before this one only gestured at: a self-feeding count where each upkeep's tokens become next upkeep's denominator. The yield per turn never exceeds the count you started with (two make one, four make two, ten make five, and a single Zombie makes nothing), so this is a compounding curve, slow off the line and uncapped at the top. That shape decides who the card is for. It rewards the deck that has already committed to the tribe before it resolves, not the one hoping the enchantment will assemble a board from scratch; it is a payoff for having arrived, not a plan for getting there. The upkeep timing pulls real weight, dropping the bodies before your draw step so they are ready to block and can attack on your next turn. The honest weakness lives in the same number that drives the engine: the threat is entirely the accumulated count. A sweeper that clears the board drops the denominator below the two Zombies the curve needs to restart, so the card never races a wrath, it just keeps raising the number a wrath has to answer before it can stall the climb. Every untouched turn moves that number further out of reach.
