Emeria, the Sky Ruin
The seven-Plains threshold is the whole engine, and it asks for a deckbuilding commitment that almost nothing else in white demands: a manabase tilted hard toward the Plains type, counting basics alongside any nonbasic that carries the subtype, until you can reliably keep seven in play. Hit the count and every upkeep becomes a free reanimation trigger, no card spent, no mana paid, just a creature walking back out of the graveyard turn after turn. That recurring, no-cost loop is the rare white version of an effect black usually has to buy with mana and a card, and the price white pays for it instead is manabase discipline: lean into the Plains type and your color identity narrows, trading the flexibility of a varied land suite for an engine that, once online, never stops. The tapped clause and the upkeep timing keep it slow. You cannot flash it in as a surprise, and the trigger only fires on your own turn, so it rewards a grindy attrition build rather than a tempo plan. White-as-recursion-color rarely gets to be this relentless; the card does structurally what black aristocrat engines do, but gated behind land-type choices rather than life or mana. Build toward the threshold and the payoff never lets up; ignore it and you have a tapped white source with a dead upkeep clause.
