A one-drop that pays for itself twice. The 2/1 body is honest early aggression, and when it has stopped trading up, the sacrifice ability converts the corpse into a Young Hero Role attached elsewhere: a red enchantment effect that grants an attack-triggered growth engine to whatever you point it at. The design leans on Role tokens as red's answer to a color-pie problem: red does not do lasting board enchantments well, so tying the buff to a modest creature and a sacrifice cost keeps it inside the color's identity. Note what the Young Hero Role actually gates: the +1/+1 counter only lands if the enchanted creature's toughness is 3 or less at attack time, so it rewards small, wide boards rather than fattening an already-large threat. That toughness clause is the balancing wrinkle; the Role wants to be stapled to another one-drop, not to a finisher that would break the counter accrual open. The sacrifice line also threads a Role's own replacement rule (a new Role on a creature that already has one of your Roles buries the old), so it plays cleanly as a self-sacrifice outlet, a graveyard fueler, and a way to keep a beatdown clock ticking after the first body has served its purpose. A tidy little value module for aggressive red, built to convert dead early creatures into ongoing pressure.
