Elvish Skysweeper

Six total mana and a dead creature to kill one flier: the rate is so far underwater that the card reads less like answer than like a museum piece for how green used to be allowed to interact with the air. Green's color-pie identity has always penned it out of removal, and the historical compromise was to let it shoot down or destroy flying creatures specifically, the threat green's ground creatures cannot block. This is that compromise at its most punitive. The activation demands four generic and a green, plus a creature sacrifice, plus the green mana already spent casting the 1/1 body, and after all that it touches only a single creature, and only one with flying. The sacrifice clause is the part that dates it most: where modern green answers fold the cost into card advantage or attach it to a body that does other work, this asks you to spend a permanent to point a one-shot at something green could already, in theory, race on the ground. What it represents is a snapshot of the era's color-pie orthodoxy, when designers treated green's anti-flying license as a privilege to be priced steeply rather than a tool to be made playable. The Elf Warrior typing and the on-board mana sink keep it from being literally blank, but the function it advertises is one nearly every later green card performs at a fraction of the toll.
