Elvish Promenade

Kindred Sorcery — Elf3 generic manaGreen mana

The payoff that taught Elf decks to count their own board. Where most token-makers produce a fixed number, this one scales off the very thing the deck is already trying to maximize: a wide Elf board doubles itself, and a doubled board sits one more cast away from doubling again. The recursion is the point, because every token it makes is itself an Elf that counts toward the next one. Cast it before the deck has gotten started and it produces almost nothing for the mana; cast it after the board has filled out and the swing ends games. That feedback loop sets it apart from generic green token spells: it does not add a flat width to the board, it multiplies what is already there, which rewards the mana acceleration and one-drops Elf strategies run anyway. The other half of its identity is the kindred type line, which means the spell itself counts as an Elf card in the graveyard, in exile, and for any effect that cares about Elf cards rather than just Elf creatures on the battlefield. It is a finisher and a tribal-count enabler folded into one sorcery, made to flood the board and then flood it again.
