Elmar, Ulvenwald Informant
The untap-plus-investigate trigger fires on your second spell each turn, which pulls the deckbuilding toward a low curve that keeps chaining: play something cheap, follow it up, and refresh a creature that just tapped out for combat or an activated ability. Haste means the 3/2 pressures immediately, and because the untap can hit any creature (yours or a teammate's), the ability quietly hands out pseudo-vigilance: a beater swings and stays back to block, a mana dork survives across turns. The Clue is the slower reward, a rain check you cash once your mana floats. What lifts this past a Gruul tempo body is the Friends forever partner clause, which pairs it with any legend carrying the same ability regardless of color: neither commander gates the other, so the two set the deck's color identity together rather than one constraining it. Elmar becomes the aggressive anchor while the partner supplies whatever the pairing lacks, and the combined identity reaches cards outside red and green entirely. This is a spellslinger reward welded onto a hasty attacker, built around clearing the second-spell hurdle by design rather than emptying your hand all at once.
