Elite Inquisitor

Creature — Human SoldierWhite manaWhite mana

A creature whose protection list reads like a guest list: the three monster tribes that defined its home plane, named explicitly rather than abstracted into a keyword. That specificity is the whole gamble. Protection from Vampires, Werewolves, and Zombies means combat damage from any of them simply doesn't land, those creatures can't block or be assigned to block it, and it can't be enchanted, equipped, or targeted by any of them. A 2/2 with first strike and vigilance therefore trades up against the entire creature half of three archetypes. But protection keys on the named subtype, not the color behind it: an ordinary black or red removal spell with no Vampire, Werewolf, or Zombie typing targets and kills it like any other small white body. So the bet is narrow. When the table is full of the listed threats, this attacks and blocks for free against the creatures meant to fight it; when it isn't, the text box goes dark and you have a fragile two-mana bear with two evergreen keywords. First strike and vigilance are the floor that keeps the worst case functional in combat, but they don't move the wager. This is hate-bear design pointed at three specific enemies and shrugged at by everyone else: a creature whose evaluation is set by the room rather than by the deck holding it.
