Dust Elemental

The bounce clause reads like a drawback, and the body it pays for is enormous: a 6/6 evasive creature for four mana sits far above the white-weenie curve, and the cost of fielding it is returning three of your own creatures to hand. That math only works if those creatures are worth replaying, and flash is what turns the tax into an engine. Cast at the end of an opponent's turn, the elemental scoops up three enter-the-battlefield triggers you have already cashed once and hands them back to be cashed again. The same effect that looks like a penalty becomes a way to reset blink fodder, rescue creatures from a board wipe in response, or reload a value chain on a single card. Flying paired with fear makes the body nearly impossible to stop in the air: only artifact and black creatures can block it, and most boards have neither aloft. Self-bouncing beaters that lend a turn of pressure and then ask for repayment are an old idea, but few wrap that bargain in evasion this clean. The friction is real on an empty board, where returning three creatures you control means returning the elemental itself if you lack other bodies; that constraint is exactly what steers the card toward decks built to want the trigger rather than dread it.
