Trample-granting is usually a keyword you pay for once, on one creature; here it becomes a standing property of an entire counters board. It sits in a lineage of anthem-style trample enablers that reach back to effects like Nemata, Grove Guardian's tokens and countless overrun variants, but where those grant trample to a creature type or to everything unconditionally, this one gates the keyword behind a counter, which is precisely the currency its home archetype is flooded with.
