The hexproof is the part doing the quiet work here. A creature whose size scales off your green permanent count is a familiar idea, but most of those bodies are fragile precisely because they advertise themselves: an opponent who sees an oversized threat knows exactly which spell to point at it. Stapling hexproof onto the same chassis flips that math. The board state that grows this creature also protects it from targeted removal, so the only clean answers are board wipes, edicts, and chump blockers. The cost of that protection is paid in dependency: it commits almost nothing by itself, since the only guaranteed contributor to its size is the body in front of you, which means a bare battlefield leaves it a 1/1 and any sweeper shrinks it the instant its supporting cast leaves. The counting clause is narrower than it looks, too. It tallies green permanents specifically, so green mana dorks, green creatures, and green enchantments all feed it, but the lands tapping for that mana do not, since lands are colorless unless something external paints them green. That distinction rewards a deck stacked with permanents that are themselves green rather than spells that merely produce green. Read it as a payoff that asks you to flood the table first and cash in second, with the hexproof as insurance that what you have built actually sticks: a reward for the permanent-heavy curve, not a threat to jam on turn four.
