That clause makes the trigger a reward for a dense blue curve, where playing your cheap blue spell first is the difference between a fragile evasive body and one that draws you a card the moment it lands. It belongs to a long line of cantrip-on-a-stick designs that ask you to do something before the payoff arrives, kin to anything counting prowess or spells-cast-this-turn: the body is the floor, the condition is the ceiling, and the deckbuilder's job is to make that condition routine rather than aspirational. The Faerie Rogue tribe is the natural home for that work, since tempo shells built around cheap blue tricks already cast multiple spells a turn without trying. The wording matters: because it is not an intervening-if trigger, the check happens on resolution, so you can even cast a blue instant while the trigger sits on the stack to satisfy it. There is a way to hold up the second spell to catch a removal-prompted draw. The card is at its best as a clean two-for-one when the rest of the hand cooperates, and at its worst a 2/1 evasive blank on an empty turn: the whole gap between those outcomes lives in the order you play your spells.
