Dreadhorde Butcher
A creature that turns every combat step into a threat regardless of how the block resolves. If it connects, it grows and keeps growing, a snowball that has to be answered before it gets out of range. If it trades or gets removed, its death trigger cashes the accumulated power out as a bolt to any target, which means a chump block does not actually stop it and neither does a removal spell. The counter mechanic is what makes the second half dangerous: a fresh one only deals a point when it dies, but one that has hit a few times is a burn spell waiting to be triggered, and the player who kills it is choosing when to eat the damage. That tension (kill it now for less, or let it grow and eat more later) is the whole strategic axis, and it rewards the aggressive black-red deck that wants its removal-bait and its reach in the same two-drop. Haste closes the loop by letting it start the counter chain the turn it lands, so it is never dead on arrival even into an empty board. It is a small body priced to trade, built so that trading is exactly what its owner wants.
