Creature — Lizard Drake1 generic manaGreen manaBlue mana

Three power across two evasive keywords, hung on a frame so brittle that any incidental damage knocks it off the table. The math is deliberate: flying carries the body over the ground entirely, and trample is the insurance against the one thing flying does not solve, the flier or reach blocker that would otherwise eat the swing for free. Chump it with something airborne and the defender still bleeds for whatever power the blocker fails to absorb. The toughness of one is the price for that certainty. This creature can never sit back; it exists to attack, and the moment the opponent puts anything in its path it folds. That asymmetry is what the design is built around: it pushes damage on a clock and forces the opponent to spend a removal spell stopping it, knowing that any cheap answer is a clean tempo win for them and the body's job is to extract that card regardless. Simic's slice of this era's evasive beaters leaned into exactly that trade, durability surrendered for the guarantee that the power reaches the player rather than the front line. The Lizard Drake type line does the flavor work of explaining how a ground reptile took to the air, but the design underneath predates the creature type: a glass cannon priced to swing early and dare the opponent to answer it.
